Hello all,
I just wanted to keep you up to date. We have some cool new features coming out soon so please keep posted!
A couple of tips from our users:
1. If you create a webpage and auto link the phone numbers using the "snap://" uri and surf to it in FireFox you will be able to easily dial them. Think in terms of a quick address book or integrating with your companie's rolodex or CRM application. - Thanks Nortex!
2. You can use the connections feature to make conference calls easier. Set up an additional connection in reverse using the trunk as a conference room. This way you can dial out phone numbers from your address book quickly and have them connected directly to the conference room. Just use the drop down box to acccss the "Conference" connection that you set up! - Thanks Mike!
I also wanted to mention that our good friend Oliver posted Read More »

We are proud to release 0.7 of Snap. There are tons of great productity enhancements in this version. Major new features are: Dialing Rules, a TAPI driver (supports software such as ACT!), and indexing for Mozilla Thunderbird (your contacts can be quickly searched and called from the search bar).
For those that may be interested, I have also received a report that Snap index's Sharepoint contacts as well. This sounds like a promising way to import a customer list.
The changelog is located here and the download is here. Support for eyeBeam 1.5 and Skype was also added. For Asterisk users, please take a look closely at the "Variable" field. Some phones may be able to auto answer when using it thus saving one more step when dialing. We take custom requests for features an ...

We are officially announcing our Mozilla extensions today. This means you can dial from directly inside of Firefox and Thunderbird. A lot of fuss has been generated about being able to dial from inside of Outlook...well...now anyone that uses a webmail service can dial as well!
How does it work? The extension automatically detects phone numbers on webpages and turns them into clickable links. When you click the link, your phone will ring immediately. Pick up the phone and you will be connected to the phone number you clicked. If a format isn't supported, select the phone number with your mouse, right click, and click Dial.
The current version of Snap was also updated to 0.7 RC2. The change log is here and the download is here. Snap now also supports dialing for ...

Hey everyone,
We had promised to release Thunderbird support this week, and well here it is:
Download the XPI
It was delayed a bit, but should be well worth it due to some technical
issues and enhancements ;) we decided to throw in, for example. We also
included support for FIREFOX!!!
To install for:
Firefox: Unzip the download and drag-drop the XPI into Firefox
Thunderbird: Unzip the download and locate the file via the Tools -> Extensions -> Install option inside of Thunderbird.
You can give it a try and have some fun this weekend but the official
announcement for the Mozilla support will be on Monday with
documentation, and screen shots. Also, we have posted Snap 0.7 RC1, which has several usability
improvements and feature enhancements. Most ...

0.4 is released. Read about it here.
The old releases had time-out code that was supposed to have been removed. If you were running an older version you will need to grab Snap from the download page.
This release add experimental support for dialing via the command line. Try creating a shortcut on the desktop to Snap.exe and then adding the appropriate arguments to it. Please let us know if you have any issues. When dialing via the command line calls are routed through the default connection. For more details read here.
Thanks and enjoy!

Version 0.2 is released! Some of you, but not all, may have a poor experience reading the caller id off of your phone when receiving calls. Most notably some of the Cisco phones have no back lighting! Well...we have an answer for you. This new version includes support for call status on incoming and outgoing calls. Check the wiki for a detailed list of changes and make sure to check back later this week for another release with more features. Happy Snapping!

Hello everyone,
So this is my first blog and I just wanted to welcome you to our home for Snap. I'll be communicating about new features and different topics on here.
First off, I wanted to say that we are launching Snap through a beta program. We will be releasing a few features at a time because we want our product to grow with our users. You will be defining what happens with it and where it goes ;).
What does this mean, you ask? Well, download Snap, use it, break it, do what you want with it and then use the forums and post your feedback, we will work with you to make Snap into exactly what you want.
Secondly, join the community! Let's make this a great experience for everyone. Use the forums to chat and help other Snap users get the best out of their experiences. The more activity we see the more encouraged we get!
Thank you and enjoy! LittleSnapper< ...
